Our standard and best value material is birch. We can do custom veneer species such as oak, maple, and walnut upon request in NYC and the Pacific Northwest, though this does add cost. Contact us to discuss the options.

Your CNC-cut Baltic birch kit, all hinges, the press-fit hardware, and our design work to fit your dimensions. If you've added cushions, those are made by hand in Bellingham and shipped separately. If you've skipped cushions, we'll include a free template so you can make or source your own.
Sales tax may apply depending on where you live; we'll confirm that on your quote. You collect the kit from the shop that cuts it, so there's no delivery to pay for.
We'll get your design brief over within two weeks of your deposit, and design starts once you've approved it. From there, most projects take 8 to 12 weeks depending on shop workload and how many feedback rounds it takes to dial in the design. We can move faster for a specific deadline; just say so when you reach out.
Your $1,500 reservation holds your spot in the queue and covers our design time. Once it's in, we'll work out the details with you in a design brief and project agreement. It stays fully refundable until you approve those and design starts. After that it becomes nonrefundable but applies to your balance, which is due when your kit is ready to collect.
Sizes outside our online range (unusual heights or shapes, or legs beyond what the form accepts) are still doable. The configurator just can't auto-quote them. Email us with what you're after and we'll get back within a day.
Press-fit joinery throughout. No fasteners except the hinges. You knock the parts together with a small mallet (included), pop in the hinges, and you're done in a few hours. See our assembly videos for a walkthrough.
